The pilot stated he became disoriented while taxiing after landing and attempted to taxi between two fuel trucks. Both wing tips were damaged and the right outboard rib and right main spar were damaged.
On March 17, 1996, about 1650 eastern standard time, N5530Q, a Cessna C-152, registered to Phoenix Aviation East, collided with two fuel trucks while taxiing, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The flight was a 14 CFR Part 141 instructional flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and a VFR flight plan had been filed. The airplane was substantially damaged and the private- rated pilot reported no injuries. The flight originated from Daytona Beach, Florida, about 1445 the same day. The pilot stated he became disoriented while taxiing after landing and attempted to taxi between two fuel trucks. Both wing tips were damaged and the right outboard rib and right main spar were damaged.
