Analysis

THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH TREES AFTER TAKEOFF FROM A PRIVATE AIRSTRIP WITH A RWY WHICH HAS 1,200 FEET USEABLE LENGTH. THE FIELD ELEV IS 425 FT AND THE PLT EST THE TEMP TO BE 60 DEG F. THE PLT SAID THE TAKEOFF WAS MADE TO THE NE. THE WIND WAS REPORTED TO BE OUT OF 210 DEG AT 5 AT A NEARBY AIRPORT. HE SAID THE ACFT CLEARED THE FIRST TREES OFF THE END OF THE RWY BUT WAS UNABLE TO CLIMB OUT OF THE VALLEY WHERE THE AIRSTRIP IS LOCATED.
