Probable Cause and Findings

A CRACK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE CRANKCASE WHICH RESULTED IN A LOSS OF LUBRICATING OIL AND WHICH FORCED THE PILOT TO LAND ON A GRAVEL BAR WHICH RESULTED IN A NOSE OVER DURING LANDING.
