Analysis

ON ARRIVAL AT THE DESTINATION AIRPORT THE PILOT DETERMINED THE GRASS STRIP WAS TOO WET FOR A LANDING. THE PILOT SELECTEDA FARM ROAD AND STATED THAT A GUST OF WIND STRUCK THE AIRCRAFT AT ABOUT 10 TO 12 FEET ABOVE THE ROAD. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND SWERVED INTO A DITCH.
