On April 21, 2008, an Embraer 110 PT-OCV, operated by Rico Airlines, departed the runway after an emergency landing at Coari, Brazil. In cruise flight the right engine failed, and the pilot secured the left engine. Following the emergency landing, the airplane departed the runway to the left. The were 9 minor injuries among the 17 occupants, and the airplane was substantially damaged. The E110 is equipped with Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6 engines. The Brazilian CENIPA requested recorders lab assistance from the NTSB.
