Factual Information

On December 23, 2008, an Agusta AW-139 helicopter, registration G-CHCV, experienced multiple system failures including a false baggage compartment fire warning near Norfolk, England, United Kingdom. The flight subsequently returned to the departure airport and landed safely. The two pilots on-board were not injured. The flight originated from North Denes Airfield, Norfolk, England. The intended destination was oil rig Noble Julie located in the North Sea. The incident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
