Factual Information

On June 6, 2010, a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 737-400 experienced a bird strike during takeoff from Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport (EHAM), Amsterdam, the Netherlands. One engine lost power. The airplane returned to Schiphol and made an uneventful overweight landing on runway 18 left. None of the 156 passengers or 6 flightcrew members were injured. The aircraft registration was CN-RMF and the destination of the flight was to be El Aroui International Airport (GMMW), Nador, Morocco. The incident is being investigated by the Dutch Safety Board.
