Factual Information

On February 5, 2011, at 1255 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 310R, VH-XGX, operated by a private individual, collided with terrain near Bathurst Island, Australia. The airplane was substantially damaged and the pilot, the sole occupant, was killed. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Australia.
