Factual Information

On January 8, 2012, about 1615 UTC, a Cessna 152, French registration F-GLPO, operated by Aero-Club Les Ailerons d'Enghien-Moisselles, was substantially damaged when it abruptly dove toward the ground and crashed on the Enghien-Moisselles Airfield, Moisselles, France. The pilot and a passenger on board the airplane were fatally injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The foreign, non-scheduled personal flight had departed Moisselles about 1605 UTC. Witnesses and radar trajectory data confirmed the airplane was stabilized over the airfield at 800 feet agl when it dove abruptly and hit the ground with a lot of energy. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of France.
