Factual Information

On August 12, 2012, at 1115 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), a Cirrus SR-22, Turkish Registration TC-SAS, was destroyed when it impacted the Marmara Sea during an instructional flight. The two pilots on board were fatally injured. The flight originated from Hazerfan Airport (LTBW), Istanbul, Turkey. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of the Republic of Turkey.
