On December 26, 2012, at 1020 central standard time, a Cessna 401-A airplane, Mexico registration XB-JJE, sustained substantial damage when it lost engine power and impacted terrain near Cozumel, Mexico. The pilot and 4 passengers on board were not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the flight, which was originating at the time of the accident. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Mexico.
