Analysis

The pilot reported that the airplane swerved during the landing roll in crosswind conditions and that he excessively applied the brakes to correct for that swerve. The airplane subsequently nosed over, resulting in substantial damage to the wings, vertical stabilizer, and rudder. The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airframe or engine that would have precluded normal operation.

The pilot reported that during the landing roll he applied excessive braking action to correct for the airplane swerving due to the crosswind condition.
