Analysis

On June 18, 2013 at 1655 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), a Piper PA-28, French registration F-GHLY, privately operated, was substantially damaged when it impacted with the slope of a mountain near Barcis, Italy during a cross-country flight from Locarno Airport (LSZL), Switzerland to, Lesce Bled Slovenia Airport (LJBL), Republic of Slovenia. The pilot was seriously injured and the two passengers were fatally injured. This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Italy.
