Factual Information

On August 7, 2013, about 0935 coordinated universal time, a Cessna F172N, registered D-EGUP, operated as a pleasure flight, was destroyed when it impacted terrain near Heist, Germany, following a loss of control. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The flight originated from the Uetersen Airport (EDHE)at an unknown time. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the German government.
