Factual Information

On September 15, 2013, about 1530 Eastern standard time, an Australian registered Cessna 206, VH-WAV, impacted terrain about 95 miles Southeast of Croydon, Queensland, Australia. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating the accident. As the State of Manufacture of the airplane and engine, the NTSB has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the ATSB in its investigation.
