Factual Information

On November 28, 2013, about 630 UTC, a SAAB 2000 airplane, HB-IZW, experienced an engine failure during climb out after takeoff in Switzerland. The location was not reported. The 2 pilots, 1 crew member and 25 passengers were not injured. Damage to the airplane was not reported. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Switzerland. Under the provisions of Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation as a State of Design, the United States has designated an accredited representative to participate in the investigation.
