Factual Information

On October 5, 2013, at 0900 local time, an amateur built aircraft, KR-2, VH-CTE, collided with the terrain shortly after takeoff from a private airstrip near Tumut, New South Wales. The flight was operated by the pilot under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Australia. The pilot, the sole occupant, was fatally injured and the airplane was destroyed.
