Factual Information

On April 23, 2014, at 1900 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 172M airplane, bearing Honduran registration HR-AVH, was destroyed upon impact with trees and terrain under unknown circumstances, near Gracias, Department of Lempira, in the Republic of Honduras. A postimpact fire ensued. The pilot and three passengers were fatally injured. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Government of the Republic of Honduras.
