Factual Information

On June 9, 2014, at 0950 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 172N, Italian registration I-SIPI, was destroyed when it impacted terrain during cruise flight near Premana Lecco, Italy. The private pilot and two passengers were fatally injured. The local flight departed from Lake Como, Lombardia, Italy, and was conducted under Italian flight regulations.This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Agenzia Nazionale per la Sicurezza del Volo (ANSV) of Italy.
