Factual Information

On August 8, 2014, about 1920 coordinated universal time, a Quicksilver MXL Sport II, motorized ultralight (ULM) aircraft, registry EC-FL8, was substantially damaged after impacting terrain during takeoff. The pilot was fatally injured. At the time of the accident the aircraft was departing from Aeródromo de Sotos (LESS), Cuenca, Spain for a local flight. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the government of Spain.
