Factual Information

On February 7, 2015, about 1100 universal coordinated time, a Cessna A188, Brazilian registration PT-LOA, was destroyed when it struck a high-tension powerline and impacted terrain while maneuvering over a soybean field near Tapes, Brazil. The pilot was fatally injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local agricultural aerial application flight that was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations. This investigation is under jurisdiction of the Government of Brazil.
