Factual Information

The pilot reported that after a few seconds into the landing roll, the right wing abruptly lifted, the left wing contacted the ground, and subsequently sustained substantial damage. The pilot stated that the airplane began traveling 20 degrees to the right, corrective actions were applied, control was regained, and the pilot taxied off the runway. The pilot reported no pre-impact mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airframe or engine that would have precluded normal operation.

Probable Cause and Findings

The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during landing.
