Factual Information

On July 6, 2015, about 1312 universal coordinated time, Quest Kodiak 100, U.S. registration N642RM, was substantially damaged by collision with terrain during a forced landing following a loss of engine power after takeoff from Pskov Airport, Pskov, Russia. The Russian certificated pilot and passenger were not injured. The flight was destined for Ryazan, Russia.According to investigators, the airplane experienced a total loss of engine power immediately after takeoff, and the pilot performed the forced landing 500 meters beyond the departure end of the runway. During the forced landing, the nose and right main landing gear separated and wings, fuselage, and tail sections sustained substantial damage. This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Interstate Aviation Committee of Russia.
