PIPER PA31
On October 2, 2015, about 1805 universal coordinated time, a Piper PA-31 airplane, Canadian registered C-GCMD, impacted terrain near Veracruz, Nicaragua. The Canadian commercial pilot sustained fatal injuries, and the airplane sustained substantial damage. The investigation is being conducted by the Nicaraguan Civil Aeronautics Institute (INAC). The National Transportation Safety Board is assisting the Nicaraguan investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
