On December 29, 2015, about 1258 hours universal coordinated time, a Cessna 172RG, United Kingdom registration G-CHZI, sustained minor damage when the right main landing gear collapsed during the landing at the Cascais Aerodrome (LPCS), Cascais, Portugal. The flight instructor and student pilot were not injured. The local instructional flight originated from LPCS. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Gabinete de Prevenção e Investigação de Acidentes com Aeronaves (GPIAA).
