Factual Information

On June 26, 2016, about 1420 hours universal coordinated time, a Bell model 407 helicopter, German registration D-HEAB, sustained substantial damage during a hard landing following a loss of engine power near Kassel, Hesse, Germany. The pilot was not injured. The personal, cross-country flight departed from Assen, Netherlands, with an intended destination of the Kassel Airport (EDVK), Kassel, Hesse, Germany.The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU).
