On July 26, 2016, about 1407 hours coordinated universal time, a Hughes model 500E helicopter, German registration D-HMIC, sustained substantial damage during a hard landing following a loss of engine power near Senheim, Germany. The pilot received minor injuries. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU).
