Analysis

The pilot stated that, during landing, he was too fast on the approach and touched down long. Subsequently, the airplane overran the runway and nosed over. A postaccident examination revealed substantial damage to the fuselage. The pilot reported no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
