An Australian-registered A320-232 airplane in cruise flight between Sydney and Cairns, Australia had a failure of the right engine, an International Aero Engine V2527-A5. The airplane diverted to Brisbane for landing. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating this incident.
