Factual Information

On August 7, 2019, about 1408 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Raytheon 390 Premier 1A airplane, Czech Republic registration OK-EJH, experienced smoke/fire in the cockpit from the windshield heat system during takeoff from Hamburg Airport, Hamburg, Germany. The airplane returned to Hamburg and landed safely. There were no injuries to the 2 crew and 3 passengers on board. The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) is investigating the incident. As the state of design and manufacture of the airplane, the NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative under the provisions of Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation to assist the BFU with their investigation.
